IBC Soda
The project entailed creating an ad campaign for an existing brand, and I chose “IBC Root Beer” due to my fondness for its sodas.
My approach began with extensive research into the brand’s history, discovering its century-long presence in the market. Focusing on its recent 100-year anniversary, I delved into 1920s design aesthetics and retro advertisements from the era, drawing inspiration for the campaign. Given the absence of a distinct brand voice and no past advertisements to work from, I crafted one for this campaign. The design incorporated the brand’s signature package colors and fonts reminiscent of the 1920s era. The imagery juxtaposed the new bottle design with its vintage counterpart, emphasizing the brand’s longstanding heritage. The slogan underscored the brand’s reliability and timeless flavor.
The outcome is a fresh interpretation of retro designs, instilling a sense of reliability and trustworthiness in the brand. Additionally, I devised package designs for a special promotion featuring limited-time root beer
in bottles modeled after the brand’s original designs, accompanied by coupons to enhance engagement and drive sales during the campaign.
